Florida Boat Slip Prices 2026: What Marinas Really Charge
Florida boat slip prices by boat length, from 49 marinas' own rate sheets: nightly and monthly medians, cheapest marinas, city comparisons and methodology.
Boat slip prices in Florida in October 2026 have a median of $120 a night and $976 a month for a 40-foot boat, based on official rate sheets from 31 and 26 marinas. For a 20-foot boat the medians are $55 a night and $410 a month; for a 60-foot boat they are $180 a night and $1,410 a month. Rates vary far more by marina than by length, so the median is a starting point, not a quote.
This study uses only prices read from a marina's own rate sheet or from a city or county fee schedule, each dated. It covers the 49 Florida marinas, out of 304 listed on Marinalo, that publish a rate. Below: key findings, tables by length, the cheapest and priciest marinas, a city comparison, the method and how to cite it. For a general explanation of how slips are priced, start with how much a boat slip costs.
Key findings
- The Florida median for a 40-foot boat is $120 per night (31 marinas) and $976 per month (26 marinas).
- Median nightly rates climb from $55 at 20 ft to $180 at 60 ft. Median monthly rates climb from $410 to $1,410.
- For a 40-foot boat the cheapest published nightly rate is $42 and the highest is $400, nearly a tenfold spread.
- For a 40-foot boat, monthly rates run from $200 to $3,250.
- Annual rates are rarely published. Marinalo has no annual rate for boats up to 50 ft, and one for 60 ft ($63,510 a year at one marina).
- City medians differ a lot. For a 40-foot boat the nightly median is $240 in Islamorada and $100 in Pensacola and St. Augustine, each from only a few marinas.

Rough arithmetic on these medians gives about $3.00 per foot per night at 40 ft and about $24.40 per foot per month. Those are derived figures, not rates a marina posts.
Lowest and highest published rates
The spread inside each length is wide. Here are the lowest and highest published rates for 40, 50 and 60 ft boats (Marinalo data, October 2026).
| Boat length | Nightly, lowest | Nightly, highest | Monthly, lowest | Monthly, highest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 40 ft | $42, Venetian Cove Marina | $400, Tavernier Creek Marina | $200, Marina @ Bayshore Gardens | $3,250, Grand Marina |
| 50 ft | $62.50, Marineland Marina | $500, Tavernier Creek Marina | $250, Marina @ Bayshore Gardens | $4,000, Grand Marina |
| 60 ft | $68.25, Venetian Cove Marina | $600, Tavernier Creek Marina | $300, Marina @ Bayshore Gardens | $3,033, Sunset Marina |
The size of the spread says one thing: a rate sheet tells you far more than the state median does. Always compare the marinas you can actually reach by water from your home port.
Cheapest marinas in Florida for a 40-foot boat
These are the lowest published rates for a 40-foot boat in our data. The lowest rate is not always the best deal, because services, depth and protection from weather differ.
| Rank | Cheapest per night | Cheapest per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Venetian Cove Marina, $42 | Marina @ Bayshore Gardens, $200 |
| 2 | Marineland Marina, $50 | Green Cove Springs Marina, $350 |
| 3 | Titusville Marina, $80 | Halifax Harbor Marina, $360 |
| 4 | Halifax Harbor Marina, $80 | Bluewater Bay Sailing Club, $400 |
| 5 | Hollywood City Marina, $90.40 | Titusville Marina and The Florida Yacht Club, $480 |
Every rate in the table was read on an official rate sheet and retrieved on October 12 or 13, 2026. Each marina has its own page on Marinalo with address, contacts and conditions; open it before you plan a trip.
City by city: nightly rates for a 40-foot boat
Marinalo builds a city page for each city with published rates. The median below is the middle nightly rate among the city's marinas that publish one. Because that count is small, a single marina can move it a lot.
| City | Median per night, 40 ft | Marinas with a published rate | Marinas listed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Islamorada | $240 | 1 | 11 |
| Bradenton | $210 | 2 | 3 |
| Key West | $186 | 2 | 8 |
| Marco Island | $180 | 1 | 3 |
| Marathon | $161 | 2 | 14 |
| Stuart | $160 | 2 | 10 |
| Miami | $151 | 3 | 12 |
| Fort Pierce | $135 | 2 | 4 |
| Jacksonville | $110 | 3 | 11 |
| Pensacola | $100 | 2 | 8 |
| St. Augustine | $100 | 3 | 9 |
Captiva ($180, 1 marina) and Homestead ($102, 1 marina) also have a city median. Several large boating cities have no published rate in our data yet, among them Fort Lauderdale (6 marinas listed, none with a published rate) and Tampa (4 listed, none). That is a limit of the data, not a sign those cities are cheap or expensive. The Keys stand out as the priciest area in the table, but remember that every Keys figure rests on one or two rate sheets. For the Keys in detail, see our Key West boating guide.
Why the numbers differ so much
- Location: The city table above shows how much the same boat length costs in different places.
- Who runs the marina: City and county marinas publish fee schedules, while private marinas set their own rates on their own rate sheets.
- Contract type: Nightly stays are priced differently from monthly leases. Marinalo does not compare a transient monthly rate with a long-term lease.
- Services: Some quotes include water, or electricity, or neither. Ask what is billed on top.
- Storm planning: Hurricane rules vary by marina. Read our guide to hurricane prep for boats before you choose.
If a wet slip is more than you need, dry storage, a trailer or a lift may cost less. Texas readers can compare with the Texas boat slip prices study.
Methodology
- Sources: Marina websites and their rate sheets (web pages and PDF files), fee schedules published by the cities and counties that run public marinas, and public meeting documents.
- Collection: Each document containing a rate is archived with its retrieval date. The rates in this study were retrieved on October 12 and 13, 2026.
- Checks: A price is published only if its sentence is found word for word in the source, and it passes plausibility checks (price per foot within realistic bounds, consistency between nightly, monthly and annual rates).
- What is left out: Rates marked "call," "from" or "minimum," rates without a date, and rates reserved for some boats such as wide-beam boats and catamarans are not published automatically. Where a marina publishes several rates for the same case, the lowest is shown.
- What counts: Only marinas with a published rate enter a median. Of 304 Florida marinas listed, 49 have a published rate, so the medians describe those marinas and not the whole state.
- Limits: Rates change. Confirm with the marina before you book. The data are an estimate of the market, not a quote.
